Donald A. Perrot is a first speaker of Potawatomi. He was raised speaking only native languages until the age of 6, when he first learned English. Dolores Perrot is his wife, and hers is the voice you hear in the audio.

The Potawatomi Language is an endangered language, with less than 20 fluent speakers nationwide. NICS seeks to Preserve, Revitalize, and Disseminate the Potawatomi Language so it is not lost.
